This automatic turn off thing is still occurring. There are no dump files from these turn-off events as there were no blue screens.
The power light even blinks like it is in sleep mode, but when I try to wake up the computer it goes through the entire boot sequence again. I noticed while testing going into sleep mode before I uninstalled Kaspersky that there is no BSOD anymore. There is a new minidump from this BSOD, but I am not sure if it would be helpful. There was a blue screen in the middle of the uninstall process (how suspicious), but after restarting I was able to finish unistalling the rest of kaspersky. They seem to think it has something to do with Kaspersky.
Only a couple threads on bleepingcomputer, created within the past few days, mention it. There is nearly no documentation of this driver at all on the internet. The driver found was this mysterious klupd_klif_arkmon.sys This crashed my computer nearly instantly after pressing the power button on the Asus logo screen. Looking further, I used Driver Verifier to find the specific driver file. The error stated is IRQL_not_less_or_equal This activity started on August 27th, and has continued every day since. But, frequently when attempting to wake my laptop from sleep (almost every time), I get a BSOD a couple seconds after the welcome picture appears.
My wifi has been randomly cutting out infrequently and will not reconnect to a network without restarting the computer (no BSOD, however). I am having an issue on my Asus Laptop with Kaspersky installed. By direction of usama I have created this thread to specifically address this issue, which is similar to the one in this thread:
